Blazer Game...checked off the Portland Bucket list!

Do you remember our list of things to accomplish in Portland in the next year?:
  • Multnomah Falls (we have been there, but before the kiddos were around)
  • the local hot springs
  • The Pearl District for an entire day (I used to work in this area, but never got to really explore)
  • Go to a Blazers game
  • OMSI (Oregon Museum of Science & Industry)
  • Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden (over 9 acres!  holy cow!)
  • Alder Creek for a kayak/canoe trip (just J and I for this one)
  • Horseback riding in Beaverton
  • Visit Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall (saw Daniel Tosh live)
  • Mount St. Helens for a day trip
  • Portland Zoo
  • Berry-picking at Hoffman Farms in Sherwood
  • Day at Henry Hagg Lake
  • Eat at Stepping Stone Cafe (featured on "Man vs. Food" on the Food Network)
  • Portland Art Museum
  • Portland Historical Museum
  • Summer Concert series in Tualatin
  • play in the water fountain at Waterfront park (HUGE fountain perfect for a hot summer day)
  • visit Reptile World
  • spend an entire afternoon in Powell's Book Store (the largest bookstore in the nation)
  • Portland Farmers Market
  • Spend a Saturday exploring Sauvie Island
  • Go to the "original" Stumptown Coffee...we take our coffee very seriously here in the Northwest
  • Go and experience a "1st Thursday" (a huge independent artist expedition on each "1st Thursday" in the month during the summer)
  • spend an entire day (breakfast-dinner) eating from Portland's famous food-carts!
  • Portland Japanese Garden
We are so excited to finally check something off the list...Blazers game!  We had a great time (despite the loss) but something really exciting happened...Michael Jordan was there!  As some of you know, Nike Headquarters are here in town, so we imagine that Mr. Jordan is working a deal with them and they carry season tickets to the Blazers.  It was really exciting and I even called my dad during the 1st quarter (he used to work as big honcho at Foot Locker and has met Michael).  Pretty exciting for us.

Our evening started off with a fun trip to the swanky NW 23rd shopping area, dinner at McMenamin's and then off to the game!

We had great seats right on the floor!
Jeremiah even got a good shot of tip-off.
Do you see Micheal?  He's behind the dude in the green shirt looking at his camera.
We had a great time!  We look forward to crossing some other things off our list in the next few weeks.

Best wishes,
Lindsay "Ladybird" & Jeremiah "Fellow"!
