design*sponge-house tour

Design*sponge is a daily read of my mine and they did a recent home tour of Emily and Andrew de Stefano.  Very rarely do I find homes that are jaw-dropping to me and that I am in love with every room, but this house just set the bar!  I had to share...not so much for anyone else even to enjoy, but for my own selfish reasons to have these photos forever to go back and refer to :).  Here is the post from the lovely Design*sponge:

Just two years ago, Emily and Andrew de Stefano moved into this home in Kennett Square, PA (aka “The Mushroom Capital of the World”), with their two dogs Maple and Charlie and two cats Malik and Jackson. The home hadn’t been updated in 25 years, so the very day they moved in, they got right to work ripping out carpets and demoing the kitchen. With Andrew working in graphic design and advertising and Emily at Anthropologie as the merchandising and visual display manager, the couple share a pretty strong aesthetic sensibility and an eclectic style that ranges from Hollywood glam to modern with a mid-century vibe. They make it all work by keeping the wall colors neutral and layering objects, textiles and accessories to create texture and visual interest. A pretty impressive job for two short years! Thanks, Emily & Andrew!

Did you see the striped dining room chairs?  L-O-V-E.

Best wishes,
