Frozen party!...

Paetyn had her 8th birthday party on Friday night and she decided to have a two-fold theme:  A sleepover and Frozen!  P has never wanted a "Disney" party before, so we decided to let her go for it since it was probably her last "theme" party.  She invited 8 girls (and let Maddux invite a pal) so Friday night was all sorts of crazy!

I had a lot of fun doing Pinterest research and ideas for the party.  Here is what we came up with:
  • "Arendelle Punch", Blue Hawaiian punch, Pineapple juice, and Sprite
  • "Do You Want to Build a Snowman Mix", Pretzel sticks, candy corn, mini chocolate chips, and marshmallows
  • "Forever Winter Snowflakes", great snowflake cookies from Beaverton Bakery
  • "Snow-covered pretzels", pretzel rods dipped in blue-dyed white chocolate and crystal sprinkles
  • "Olaf Noses", Large puff Cheetos
  • "Snowballs", baby-blue colored Sixlets
  • The cake was from Albertsons with smooth cream and we topped it with some characters from a play set (from Target online)
I assembled the gift bags with a blue/white striped pattern and paper lunch bags.  They included:
  • Frozen tattoos
  • Hot chocolate mix
  • Jewelry
  • Clothe gloves
  • Frozen fruit snacks
  • Blue and white jelly beans
  • Glow in the dark bracelets and balloons (yes, they sell balloons that glow!!!)
  • Bouncy balls (blue, of course) :)
I took the 2 bags and folded them at the top and punched a hole through both of them.  Then a took the hot pink place cards I had left over (wrote the guests name on them) and tied them all together with some striped twine.  It turned out pretty easy, especially when Paetyn, Maddux, and I started an assembly line to make them!  The only boy, Conner, got a green bag instead of baby-blue. :)

We also did a few activities to keep all the crazy gals busy.  We made towers with mini marshmallows and toothpicks.  That was a real hit actually!  We also did "Pin the Nose on the Olaf" which we bought from PartyCity.

It was a real fun party and we survived the sleepover, although by Saturday morning after pancakes we were ready to go back to bed again :)
